Students at Wallingford School once again received excellent results for Key Stages 4 and 5 this summer, reflecting the outstanding quality of teaching and learning and support at the school and the hard work, ability and commitment of the young people who achieved them.
For Key Stage 5 students, destinations were wide and varied, with almost all students managing secure a place at their first choice institution. This included Russell Group universities from Edinburgh to Exeter and a broad mix of competitive courses at a good range of universities. They have gone on to study courses ranging from Medicine, Mathematics and Veterinary Science through History, Geography and German to Computer Science and Natural Sciences, English Literature and Economics, Aerospace Engineering and Anthropology. In addition, some students have gone on to foundation courses, competitive higher level apprenticeships and excellent opportunities in work-based training.
For Key Stage 4, results at headline levels were fantastic. Beneath the headlines there are a great many stories of individuals who excelled, be it with a string of top grades, achieving (or exceeding!) their targets, or overcoming challenges in their lives. They are all to be congratulated in doing so very well after a period of disruption to their education and lives; their talent, resilience and determination are nothing short of remarkable.
