One of the highlights for our Sixth Form at Aylesbury UTC in the first term for academic year 2023 - 2024 is the preparation and practice for interviews. A mock interview helps our students develop interview strategies, enhance communication skills, and ease nerves that many experience before an actual interview, whether that is for university, an apprenticeship or employment.
Preparing for the real world of work is a key focus at AUTC. Lynne, Sixth Form tutor, has been preparing Year 12 and 13 with writing their CVs and encouraging them to create LinkedIn accounts and start networking with the professionals in areas of interest.
On the 6th December, AUTC were excited to host mock interviews for all Sixth Form, supported by ASK Apprenticeships. As well as giving an overview of apprenticeships, ASK explained the importance of practising interview techniques. Some generous professionals gave up their time to interview students and provide feedback, which students found valuable. Each student was awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze for their achievement. We are proud of all our students and our Sixth Form have bright futures.
